Upgrades & Assessments

IMPORTANT

All referees Grade 7 and above must submit their assessment fee for the new year.

Criteria for Upgrade

Procedure to Upgrade from Grade 8 to Grade 7

Notify Robert Ong, SDA (State Director of Assessment) by May 1 of intent to upgrade.
At least one year as a grade 8
Must have refereed 100 games (Referee: 75; AR: 25)
Must attend the State Referee Clinic in June.
Pass fitness test and written (85%) test at the clinic.
Give game schedule to SDA at least 2 weeks in advance.
Pass on-field assessment by an Assessor which was assigned by the SDA.
Must be 17 years old.

Procedure for Upgrade to Grade 6

Notify Robert Ong, SDA (State Director of Assessment) by May 1 of intent to upgrade.
At least one year as Grade 7
Must have refereed cummulatively 125 games (Referee 100; AR 25). Refer to Referee Admin Handbook
Must attend the State Referee Clinic in June
Pass the fitness test and written test (75%) at State Clinic.
Send in game schedule at least 1 month in advance to SDA .
Must pass 3 field assessments by an Assessor which was assigned by the SDA.
Must be 18 years old.
